Advanced Status Icon Properties
The Properties of the Status Icon for an integrated system in Advanced Mode as seen in the Properties grid are listed below.
Appearance
| Layers | Opens the Layer Editor, where icon layers are configured to control how asset states appear in the Legend, including visibility and alarm acknowledgment behavior. |
Caption
| Caption | A label for the asset. |
| Color | Selects a predefined caption color mode created in the
Caption Color Editor, which controls how
the caption color is displayed in Runtime. The available color modes
are populated based on the configurations defined in the
Edit Caption Color located on the
system's Advanced Icon
Mode setting page. Note: The option, Using
Alarm Text Color, is automatically selected when
both of the following are true:
The legend icon will display whatever alarm color is defined for the highest priority alarm type that is bound and visible. |
| Drop Shadow — Blur Radius | How far the drop shadow will fade out from the item in pixels. |
| Drop Shadow — Color | The Color of this item's Drop Shadow. |
| Drop Shadow — Opacity | The opacity of the Drop Shadow. The lower the value, the more transparent it appears. The higher the value, the more opaque it is. |
| Drop Shadow — Shadow Depth | How far in pixels the drop shadow extends from the item. |
| Font Name | The name of the font to use for the caption. |
| Font Size | The size of the text for the caption. |

| Is Blinking | When checked, the caption will blink transparent on every second
cycle. Note: The Caption blinks when asset is in
Alarm option applies only to real assets with
live state. Legend icons do not represent real assets, so they
will not blink using that option. Check this box to force a
blinking effect for legend icons in Designer. |
| Is Caption Displayed | Whether the caption is visible (checked) or not (unchecked). |
| Is Caption Rotated with Asset | If the caption is rotated at the same angle as the asset (checked)
or not (unchecked). Note: If this is checked, you cannot set a specific angle for
the Caption. |
| Relative Location | You can select a preset relative location. This will place the caption in a
position relative to the asset icon. Note: If you have a specific X and Y value set
for the Caption, setting this property will override those
settings.
Warning: Do not swap between lower middle
and center radio buttons, as this may cause Designer to freeze. |
| Relative Position X | The position on the X axis relative to the asset icon to place the caption.
Note: If you set the Relative Location property, setting this
will override that setting. |
| Relative Position Y | The position on the Y axis relative to the asset icon to place the caption.
Note: If you set the Relative Location property, setting this
will override that setting. |
| Rotation Angle | The angle at which the item is rotated. |
