Asset Groups
Assets can be placed into a group. This organizes them in Project Explorer, and allows them to be moved across a Map as a unit.
Asset groups are most commonly used to keep composite assets together. A composite asset
will be a collection of assets representing the different potential parts of a larger
group. For example, below is a composite asset which displays all of the different
elements of a door. This includes:
- A reader asset which shows whether the reader for the door is currently enabled
- An alarm asset which shows if the door has been held or forced open
- An asset which shows whether REX (Request to Exit) is currently enabled on the door
- A door asset which shows whether the door is currently secured or not
Tip: When interacting with groups, you can:
- Click any icon in the group to select the entire group
- Double-click any icon in the group to select that individual asset
