Defining Map Container and Map Size
In the Display Layout, the Map Container is used to display the Maps in the project. The size of this component should be defined early in the project's process, as it will dictate the maximum size of the Maps that can be displayed in the project.
When sizing the Map Container in Designer, it is best practice for the Map Container to be the same size of the Maps, which guarantees the entire Map can be displayed. Keeping the Map's Display Property to None will preserve the original proportions of the image and show if the Map is too small. It is strongly recommended that all Map images should be of the same resolution so that all Maps can be the same size in Designer.
Example
Common Mistake:
Map Container: 1000x500 @96 DPI
Map Size: 1400x800 @96 DPI
Best Practice:
Map Container: 1400x800 @96 DPI
Map Size: 1400x800 @96 DPI
