Senstar Network Manager

The Senstar Network Manager system manages the integration of perimeter detection devices.

Setup

See the Data Servers page for information on configuring driver communication.

Prerequisites

Software Version
.NET Framework 4.7.2
IPFusion — Senstar Network Manager 1.0

When completing your setup, be sure to have the Senstar Network Manager documentation available for reference.

Ports

These ports must be open in your network firewall for the integration to work.

Purpose Default Value Configurable
Dataserver 9713 Yes
Debug Tools 9714 No
Network Manager TCP/IP Interface Port Port 849 + the Unit ID (1-10) at the NM Computer's IP address No

Communication Settings

Open the configuration for the Senstar Network Manager system and navigate to the Communication Settings to start setting up your devices. Configure these items:

Primary IP Address The IP address where the Network Manager software is running.
Alternate IP Address The backup computer’s IP address, used if the primary system goes down.
Unit ID The unique identifier assigned to the device managed by the Senstar Network Manager.
Node A device connected to the Senstar Network Manager system that can send or receive information.
Device Type Specifies the type of device to be selected from available options.
Description A field to enter additional details or notes about the device.
Import Devices This button allows a user to import a .XML file containing device type and description information. To retrieve the .XML file from the Network Manger:
  1. Go to the NMS Front Panel.
  2. Select the required Network Manager.
  3. Navigate to the Configure tab.
  4. Click Archive.

Troubleshooting

Logs from the driver and Runtime can be viewed in the Debug Tools client. These messages contain information which can provide further context for issues during initialization, or while actively running. This can help diagnose problems.
