Alarm Postings

Alarms for specific assets can be configured to appear on specific Workstations. By default, alarms will post to all Workstations.

There may be cases where you only want certain asset alarms to appear on specific Workstations. For example, you may have a large building with Workstations located in all areas. It may not make sense to have certain alarming assets alert operators at the opposite end of the building. In this case, postings can be created to only send alarms to nearby Workstations.
  1. In Alarm Management > Alarm Postings click Add to create a new posting, or click an existing one.
  2. For each Workstation you want to add this posting to, use the drop-down and select the correct Alarm Posting.
    Note: You can set a default posting in the Default Alarm Posting drop-down.
  3. Click the new Alarm Posting.
  4. Set the Alarm Posting Name.
  5. Select the assets to add to this Alarm Posting. Only the selected assets will have their alarms displayed on the assigned Workstations.
    Remember: If you set your Alarm Postings and then add a new asset, you will need to add the asset to the appropriate posting. This is because assets are not added by default.
