Workstations

Workstations are physical or virtual computers that run an instance of Runtime. Each instance of Runtime must be associated with a single, unique Workstation. They are where the operator monitors and interacts with Runtime.

Workstations can be assigned different displays and access in the system. For example, a facility may have a Workstation for their front desk, and another at a central control station. The front desk may only have access to Maps for the front entrance. However, a central control desk may have access to all Maps and floors for all areas of the facility. Workstations allow you to assign those different accesses and layouts.

Workstations can access and be assigned various items in IPFusion. A few examples are:
  • Display Layouts
  • Maps
  • Navigation
  • Workflows
  • Alarms
