Publish a Project

Project publication allows you to send your project from the publication server to Runtime Workstations. This can be used for sending projects to Workstations for the first time, as well as project updates.

Before publishing, you must first set your Publication Server.

To publish your project, follow the steps below.

  1. In the Home tab, click Project Publication.
  2. When in the Project Publication window, you will see the Workstations and the following information.
    • Name of the Workstation
    • Publication Service status
    • Last published time. The color of the date shows the status of the files.
      • Red — The last time the files were published to
      • White — Published a new update at this time
  3. Select the Workstations to publish to and one of the publication options:
    • Force Publish — When the Workstation receives the update, the files will automatically be updated regardless of user input.
    • Publish — When the Workstation receives the update, it will prompt the operator to allow the change.
Important: If you are publishing a new project to a Workstation the old one will be overwritten.

Your project update will be sent to the selected Workstations.

Note: You may not see any visible file updates on the target Workstation after publishing. This is due to the use of using the existing project files and newly written hidden files when updating the project.
