Connect Runtime to Tag Database Manager

Once the desired OPC tags have been configured, the tags will need to be able to communicate with Runtime.

To connect Runtime to the Tag Database Manager, follow the steps below.

  1. In Designer, configure the Data Servers in one of the following locations:
    • If you want to use the same servers on multiple integrated systems, go to Home > Project Settings > OPC.
    • To set up servers for just this system, go to Project Explorer, right-click the integrated system and select Configure. Go to Advanced > Data Servers and select Use below settings.
  2. For each asset:
    1. Select the asset from its Map or in Project Explorer.
    2. In the Properties grid, go to the Asset Settings.
    3. In the Command Tag and Status Tag fields, enter in the names of the corresponding tags. If the tag is an array, follow the name with the proper index.
