Write and Edit Tag Data

The Tag Database Manager can be used to write and edit OPC tag data.

In the Live Tag Display area, OPC Tags that have been added will show the following data:
  • Tag — The name of the OPC tag and its state. The states are:
    • — Connected
    • — Tag data can not be read
    • — Disconnected
  • Data Type — The selected data type for the OPC tag.
  • Current Value — The value associated with the tag. This changes depending on the values in the tag's source.

To edit the data for an OPC tag, follow the steps below.

  1. Double-click the tag to edit.
  2. Select the field to change and enter the new value.
  3. Click Write.
  4. To leave the data editor, click Close.
