Assign Friendly Names to Status Bits

To clearly indicate the function of each status bit, it is best practice to assign them clear names.

Follow the steps outlined in Create a Custom Asset Type in PLC Devices to create new asset types.

1. In the PLC Devices integrated system settings, click to expand Asset Types options.
2. Click on Asset Attributes.
3. Rename the Friendly Name to indicate its purpose. For example:
   
4. Return to the Asset Types and under Selected Element Properties, click on the Visibility Expression Editor.
5. Click on Status Word under Current Asset. The Friendly Name should now show its new name.
