IPFusion Workstations

The IPFusion Workstations integrated system provides the ability to connect and visualize workstation state and commands within the platform as standard assets.

Setup

Prerequisites

Software Minimum Version
IPFusion — Workstations 1.0
.NET Framework 4.7.2

Ports

Supported States

Acknowledged An asset alarm has been acknowledged.
Disabled The Workstation is currently disabled and cannot be accessed.
Enabled The Workstation is currently enabled and can be accessed.
Logged In The Workstation has Security enabled and a user has successfully logged in.
Note: If Security is off, Logged In states will not update and should not be used to bind any asset statuses.
Logged Out The Workstation has Security enabled and Runtime is currently on the login page.
Note: If Security is off, Logged Out states will not update and should not be used to bind any asset statuses.
Masked The asset has been masked over its true state.
No Communication The Workstation state cannot be determined because it is still initializing or the asset does not have a Workstation configured.
Offline The Workstation is offline when Runtime has stopped or is unable to communicate with other Workstations.
Online The Workstation is online when Runtime is active and able to communicate with other Workstations.

See the Configure a Status Table page for more information on configuring status tables.

Supported Commands

Acknowledge Acknowledge an asset alarm.
Cancel Deselects all selected assets.
Disable Disables the Workstation. This stops the Workstation from being used.
Note: Once a Workstation is disabled, there is no way to re-enable it unless an Enable command is sent to it.
Note: If the Workstation is offline when it is disabled, it will enter the disabled state as soon as it next comes online.
Disable with Image Disables the Workstation and displays an image. This stops the Workstation from being used.
Note: Once a Workstation is disabled, there is no way for a user to re-enable on the Workstation itself since the users will not be able to access the Runtime until it has been re-enabled by the Enable command.
Enable Enables the previously disabled Workstation.
Note: If the Workstation is offline when it is enabled, it will enter the enabled state as soon as it next comes online.
Logout Force a Log Out on the selected Workstation.
Note: If Security is disabled, this will have no effect.
Mask Mask the asset's true state.
New Note Adding the New Note Command to your Command Table subscribes this asset to Notes, allowing an operator to attach Notes to this asset in Runtime.
Reset Resets the asset to its true hardware state.
Workflow Trigger Allows users to trigger Workflows to create custom commands.
Note: For more information on using Workstations in Workflows, see Workstation Workflow Usage.

See the Command Tables page for more information on configuring command tables.

Advanced Mode

This integrated system has the ability to create custom icons and attributes to build new asset visuals and states in Designer. Please read Advanced Mode for more information.

Troubleshooting

Logs from the driver and Runtime can be viewed in the Debug Tools client. These messages contain information which can provide further context for issues during initialization, or while actively running. This can help diagnose problems.
