Command Associations

By default, commands aside from the default ones (Acknowledge, Mask, Reset and Cancel) do not change an asset's Status. Command Associations are used to simulate integrated system specific State changes.

To add a Command Association, follow the below steps.

  1. In Home > Runtime, click Simulate.
  2. Select the Workstation to use and click OK.
  3. Open the Simulation Client.
  4. Select localhost, or if you are running Simulation mode on another Workstation, enter its address instead.
  5. Click the Command Association tab.
  6. Select the System you want to setup a Command Association for.
  7. Select the Command Table containing the Command.
  8. Select the Command.
  9. Select the Status from the drop-down menu to be associated with this Command. Click Add.

In the below example, the selected Command to turn Off a light is associated with the Off. This will set the light's Status to Off when the Command is executed.
