Set Action on Preempt

Interactive Workflows are assigned an Action on Preempt. This determines how and when it is executed in the queue.

To set a Workflow Completion Mode, follow the steps below.

  1. In Project Explorer, right-click on the Interactive Workflow to configure. If it does not yet exist, you can Add it.
  2. In the Properties grid, select one of the below from the Action on Preempt drop-down list.
    OptionDescription
Save State When the current operating Workflow is completed and there is a Save State Workflow waiting, the highest one on the Workflow Banner will run.
Terminate These Workflows can never being in a waiting state. They only appear in the Active Workflow Banner when operating. If a higher priority Workflow begins operating, this Workflow will be terminated.
Note: Only one instance of a Workflow can be active at once. For example, if a Workflow Trigger is a button press, only one instance of the Workflow will be active. It can only be triggered again once the Workflow has been completed or terminated.
