Video Viewer
The Video Viewer is used to display a camera's video feed in Runtime. To view a camera video feed, select the camera, then the Viewer.
Note: All aspect ratios can be used, such as 16:9, 4:3, and 1:1.
Adding a Video Viewer to a Display Layout
To add a Video Viewer to your Display Layout:
- In Project Explorer, double-click the Display Layout to edit. Alternatively, right-click to Add a new one.
- Drag and drop the Video Viewer into the work area.
- Set the desired Height and Width by either dragging and dropping the edges of the Video Viewer, or within the Properties grid.
- In the Properties grid, expand Viewer Maximization.
- If you do not want the Viewer to be able to be maximized, uncheck Allow Viewer Maximization.
- If you do not want the video controls to be displayed when maximized, uncheck Show Video Controls when Maximized.
Note: There is sample text on the Video Viewer in Designer which will allow you to view font changes. The value displayed is not related to the Header Text. This item can only be maximized in Runtime.
The Viewer will display the stream as presented. This can be fixed, PTZ, multi-imager, 360, or fisheye camera. Digital zoom, digital zoom presets and fisheye dewarping are not supported.
Video Viewers in Workflows
Using the Action block in Workflows, you can issue Commands to a Video Viewer. You may also retrieve its Properties within the Logic Editor.
