Eaton Fifth Light

The Eaton Fifth Light integrated system provides individual control of lighting ballasts, drivers, and controls.

Note: BACnet integrated systems support cross subdomain communication via BBMD (BACnet Broadcast Management Device) without the need for additional configuration in Designer.

Supported States

Fault An issue has been detected in a connected asset.
Acknowledged An asset alarm has been acknowledged.
No Communication Communication has been lost with the driver or asset. This status can also occur if the communication configuration for the system or asset is invalid.
Note: This status is required in all status tables.
On For a single light, its power is set to 100%. For a group of lights, at least one light in the group is above 0%.
On and Override The asset has been set to the On state from Runtime, and is overriding a light value set outside of Runtime.
Off A single light, or all lights in a group, are set to 0% power.
Off and Override The asset has been set to the Off state from the Runtime, and is overriding a light value set outside of Runtime.
Custom Range The current power level of the light falls within the range specified in the status configuration.
  • Lower Threshold — Lowest value of the power level of the light in a user-defined range.
  • Upper Threshold — Highest value of the power level of the light in a user-defined range.
Custom Range and Override The current power level of the light falls within the range specified in the status configuration, and is overriding a light value set outside of Runtime.
  • Lower Threshold — Lowest value of the power level of the light in a user-defined range.
  • Upper Threshold — Highest value of the power level of the light in a user-defined range.

See the Configure a Status Table page for more information on configuring status tables.

Supported Commands

Mask Mask the asset's true state.
Acknowledge Acknowledge an asset alarm.
Reset Resets the asset to its true hardware state.
Cancel Deselects all selected assets.
On Sets the light to 100% power.
  • Override Duration — Forcibly overriding the light value for a period of time from one minute to twenty-four hours.
Off Sets light to 0% power.
  • Override Duration — Forcibly overriding the light value for a period of time from one minute to twenty-four hours.
Percent Dim Sets light to a specific power level.
  • Light Level — The power level of the light from 0% to 100%.
  • Override Duration — Forcibly overriding the light value for a period of time from one minute to twenty-four hours.
Cancel Override Cancels the On, Off, or Percent Dim command last sent and sets the device to the previous power level.

See the Command Tables page for more information on configuring command tables.

Lighting Zone

Light zones are represented as predefined groups of lights configured using the Eaton Fifth Light proprietary software.

Required Property Grid Fields

Workflow Integration

System Commands

System commands are commands executed through Workflows at the system level. For more information about Workflows, see the Workflows section.

Change Light Level

Sets light or lighting zone to a specific power level for a specified amount of time.

Table 1. Parameters
Asset ID The unique identifier for the light to change.
Light Level The power level for the light.
Duration How long in minutes the light will be set to this level.

Troubleshooting

Logs from the driver and Runtime can be viewed in the Debug Tools client. These messages contain information which can provide further context for issues during initialization, or while actively running. This can help diagnose problems.
