Honeywell Notifier
The Honeywell Notifier integrated system provides the capability to monitor fire alarm zones, alarm detectors, and to annunciate alarms.
Definitions
BACnet — Communication protocol for Building Automation and Control networks. For more information, see www.bacnet.org.
Setup
See the Data Servers page for information on configuring driver communication.
Compatibility
The Honeywell Notifier integrated system is compatible with:
- BACNET-GW BACnet Gateway
- ONYX Series Fire Panels
- NFS-320
- NFS2-640
- NFS2-3030
Prerequisites
Software | Minimum Version |
---|---|
IPFusion — Honeywell Notifier | 1.0 |
.NET Framework | 4.7.2 |
When completing your setup, be sure to have the Honeywell Notifier documentation available for reference.
Ports
These ports must be open in your network firewall for the integration to work.
Purpose | Default Value | Configurable |
---|---|---|
Communication Settings | 47808 | Yes |
Dataserver | 9520 | Yes |
Debug Tools | 9566 | No |
Communication Configuration
In the integrated system configuration panel, you will find the Communication Settings. The below information is required.
IP Address | The IP Address of the BACnet gateway. |
Port | The Port number for the BACnet gateway connection. |
Device ID | The Device ID of the BACnet gateway. |
Assets
Fire Zone
This asset represents a fire zone in the Honeywell Notifier system.
Required Property Grid Field
BACnet Object Id | The Id of the BACnet entity the asset represents. |
Supported States
Normal | The asset is online and in its default state. |
Fault | An issue has been detected in a connected asset. |
Acknowledged | An asset alarm has been acknowledged. |
No Communication | Communication has been lost with the driver or asset. This status can
also occur if the communication configuration for the system or asset is
invalid. Note: This status is required in all status
tables.
|
Active | A non-fire activation of an alarm, e.g., human activation. |
Alarm | Indicates that a device has been triggered to signal an alarm. This is due to an alarm condition being met, such as detecting smoke or heat. |
Pre-Alarm | This is used in a two-stage system. The panel requires two or more devices to signal an alarm. This is used to assist in preventing false alarms. |
See the Configure a Status Table page for more information on configuring status tables.
Supported Commands
Mask | Mask the asset's true state. |
Acknowledge | Acknowledge an asset alarm. |
Reset | Resets the asset to its true hardware state. |
Cancel | Deselects all selected assets. |
See the Command Tables page for more information on configuring command tables.
Detector
This asset represents a fire detector in the Honeywell Notifier system.
Required Property Grid Field
BACnet Object Id | The Id of the BACnet entity the asset represents. |
Supported States
Normal | The asset is online and in its default state. |
Fault | An issue has been detected in a connected asset. |
Masked | The asset has been masked over its true state. |
Acknowledged | An asset alarm has been acknowledged. |
No Communication | Communication has been lost with the driver or asset. This status can
also occur if the communication configuration for the system or asset is
invalid. Note: This status is required in all status
tables.
|
Active | The device is signaling an alarm. |
Fire Panel
This asset represents a fire panel in the Honeywell Notifier system.
This status can
also occur if the communication configuration for the system or asset is
invalid. Note: This status is required in all status
tables.
|
System Asset
The system asset represents the connection state to the integrated system.
Supported States
Normal | The asset is online and in its default state. |
Masked | The asset has been masked over its true state. |
Fault | An issue has been detected in a connected asset. |
Acknowledged | An asset alarm has been acknowledged. |
No Communication | Communication has been lost with the driver or asset. This status can
also occur if the communication configuration for the system or asset is
invalid. Note: This status is required in all status
tables.
|
Troubleshooting
Logs from the driver and Runtime can be viewed in the Debug Tools client. These messages contain information which can provide further context for issues during initialization, or while actively running. This can help diagnose problems.
